The Yukon Foundation is honoured to work with donors who have designated funds for specific organizations to receive an annual disbursement.  Click the underlined Fund Names to learn more.

​​​BRUCE & PAT HARVEY

 

A designated fund established by the Rotary Club of Whitehorse (dissolved in 2022) to honour long-time Rotary member Bruce Harvey, and his wife Pat. From 1999 to 2019, grants from this fund were used to provide bursaries to participants of the Annual Rotary Music Festival. The Festival is currently on hold.

HEART & STROKE FUND - Whitehorse Chapter #95 - Order of the Eastern Star

A designated fund established by Whitehorse Chapter #95 - Order of the Eastern Star to support the charitable organization that operations within the Whitehorse General Hospital and cares for heart and stroke patients. The contribution is to support the purchase of equipment, comfort care of patients, and training of staff related to heart & stroke care.
 

KAREN'S ROOM FUND - Whitehorse Chapter #95 - Order of the Eastern Star​

A designated fund established by Whitehorse Chapter #95 - Order of the Eastern Star to support Karen’s Room at the Whitehorse General Hospital. The contribution is to support the purchase of equipment, comfort care of patients, and training of staff related to cancer care.

PHILIP DANIELS

A designated fund established in memory of Philip Daniels to be directly awarded to CNIB to support guide dog activities in the Yukon.  

​

SLIM FOSTER

A designated fund established by bequest to be directly awarded to the Yukon Women’s Transition Home Society.

​

TED FESER

A designated fund established by the Grey Mountain Lions Club to be directly awarded to Special Olympics Yukon.

​

TED & NICKY HARRISON

A designated fund established to support the Ted Harrison Artist Retreat Society.

​

2007 CANADA WINTER GAMES ABORIGINAL SPORT LEGACY

A designated fund established by the Government of Yukon to help support and promote sports programs for Yukon aboriginal people.  The primary beneficiary of this fund is the Yukon Aboriginal Sport Circle.

YUKON SCOUT COUNCIL - SHAWN KITCHEN MEMORIAL

A travel bursary to assist Yukon scouting youth and registered Yukon scouter adults to attend Canadian jamborees and world jamborees.

 

YUKON UNIVERSITY

Thirteen designated student award funds were established by Yukon College, now Yukon University. These funds are named in recognition of the following Yukoners, Yukon businesses, and Yukon organizations: ​
