The Yukon Foundation was proud to take part in the CNIB Mobile Hub Fair in Whitehorse on June 4, 2025—an inspiring community event hosted by the Canadian National Institute for the Blind (CNIB). Our Executive Director, Louise-Hélène, attended in support of this important initiative, which brings resources and support services directly to Yukoners who are blind or partially sighted.
At the event, we had the opportunity to highlight the Philip Daniels Fund, established in 2023 in memory of Philip Daniels, a second-generation Yukoner remembered for his love of animals—especially dogs. Philip deeply understood the transformative impact guide dogs can have in helping individuals with disabilities live with greater independence, mobility, and confidence.
The Philip Daniels Fund was created to honour that legacy, and it continues to support access to guide dog programs and related services in the Yukon.
If you or someone you know could benefit from the support of a guide dog, please reach out to CNIB. Funding assistance may be available through the Philip Daniels Fund.
We are grateful to CNIB for hosting this meaningful event and for their continued work supporting inclusion and accessibility in the North.

I’ve worked on a few projects targeting North American audiences, and one thing that became obvious very quickly is how competitive the digital landscape has become across almost every industry. Even well-designed websites struggle when there is no real SEO structure behind them or when content is created without understanding search intent. While looking through Rhillane North America, I found it interesting how the focus seems to combine technical optimization with broader digital positioning rather than treating SEO like a separate isolated task. In markets like the US and Canada, users compare dozens of businesses before making decisions, so consistency across content, branding, and usability matters far more than many companies realize at first.
